The customer can literally write words that turn to gold. All they need to do is enter a prompt like ” a tangle of forest branches in white gold with a central light ” and see the image of their dream ring appear. Obviously, given the limitations of AI, it’s best to rework the image several times, perfecting any details that weren’t visible in the first edit.

Furthermore, AI allows you to try on the invisible, a crucial point for buyers: after taking a photo, simply ask the AI ​​to add the previously created ring, so you can put it on without any problems. This way, the doubt of “will it look good on me?” will automatically disappear , especially for those who purchase the ring online, as well as the fear of making a mistake for those who choose it to propose to their girlfriend.

ChatGPT Limitations and Real-World Customer Stories

Despite the countless benefits ChatGPT can provide, analyzing our customers’ requests reveals some significant limitations.

Many users, through increasingly specific prompts, seek to convey their passions, symbols, and emotional aspects that represent the couple into the ring. References to nature, life, and especially the seed are very common, often associated with the idea of ​​an on-the-way baby or a new family being born.

In May 2025 , one of our clients used ChatGPT to create the design of his ideal ring. Through targeted requests related to nature, seeds, colors, and organic shapes, the artificial intelligence produced a ring with a strong symbolic impact, but with obvious technical and aesthetic limitations.

The leaves in the setting, for example, are so thin that, if they were actually made of gold, they would bend at first contact. Furthermore, the concept of proportion is lacking : the diamond, which should be the absolute protagonist of the ring, is almost relegated to a secondary detail.

If this design were reproduced, maintaining the same proportions and adapted to the actual size of the customer’s finger, the result would be a very small, fragile and inharmonious ring.

The most delicate point, however, concerns aesthetics. AI-generated designs are often rich in symbols and emotional meanings, but they are inelegant, uncomfortable to wear daily, and lack balance in their shapes. AI tends to prioritize immediate visual impact over the actual wearability of the jewelry.

Furthermore, in some cases, the technical advice of gemologists and artisans is questioned because ChatGPT itself provides answers based on information found online, which rarely takes into account technical feasibility, the resistance of materials, or the correct proportions in handcrafted jewelry.

For this reason, artificial intelligence must be seen as a creative and inspirational tool, not as a substitute for human experience and knowledge .

A year later, in May 2026 , another customer of ours sent us the design of his ring created by ChatGPT.

We can notice how, following the development of ChatGPT, which has moved from the GPT-4o / GPT-4-class model to 5.5 Instant, its performance and graphics have also improved.

Following the prompt in which he describes his ideal ring, an image of undoubtedly superior quality was developed, while remaining within the limitations of the instrument used.

His main demands were:

1. Larger, black main stone, with no need for particular brilliance;
2. Smaller, brighter white secondary stone, possibly also a natural diamond;
3. Slightly wider band than standard;
4. Band not excessively shiny, but with a slightly matte finish;
5. Fluid, dotted engravings along the band, not necessarily identical to the reference image, but inspired by this style;
6. Possible lateral incision, still to be defined in detail;
7. Durable structure and suitable for everyday use.

However, transforming that concept into a truly beautiful, elegant, durable, and wearable ring remains a task that requires aesthetic sensitivity, technical expertise, and artisanal experience .
