This way, the doubt of “will it look good on me?” will automatically disappear, especially for those who buy the ring from our online site, as well as the fear of making mistakes on the part of those who choose it to propose to their girlfriend.

ChatGPT Limits and Real Stories from Our Customers

Despite the innumerable help ChatGPT can provide us, analyzing the requests of our customers, some not insignificant limitations emerge.

Many users, through increasingly specific prompts, try to transfer their passions, symbols, and emotional aspects that represent the couple into the ring. The call to nature, to life and especially to seed is very frequent, often associated with the idea of an incoming child or a new family being born.

In May 2025, one of our clients used ChatGPT to create the design of his ideal ring. Through targeted requests related to nature, seeds, colors, and organic shapes, artificial intelligence has produced a ring with a very strong symbolic impact, but with obvious technical and aesthetic limitations.

The leaflets in the setting, for example, are so thin that, if they were actually made of gold, they would bend upon first contact. Furthermore, the concept of proportion is missing: the diamond, which should be the absolute protagonist of the ring, is almost relegated to being a secondary detail.

If this design were reproduced, maintaining the same proportions and adapted to the actual size of the customer’s finger, the result would be a very small, fragile and not very harmonious ring.

The most delicate point, however, concerns the aesthetic sense. AI-generated designs are often rich in symbols and emotional meanings, but they feel inelegant, uncomfortable to wear on a daily basis, and lack balance in form. AI tends to prioritize immediate visual impact over the actual wearability of the jewel.

Furthermore, in some cases, the technical advice of gemologists and artisans is questioned because ChatGPT itself provides answers based on information found online, which rarely takes into account the technical feasibility, strength of the materials, or correct proportions in artisanal jewelry.

For this reason, artificial intelligence must be seen as a creative and inspiring tool, not as a substitute for human experience and knowledge.

A year later, in May 2026, another of our clients sent us the design of his ring developed with ChatGPT.

We can see how, following the development of ChatGPT, which has moved from the GPT-4o / GPT-4-class model to 5.5 Instant, its performance and graphics have also improved.

Following the prompt describing his ideal ring, an image of undoubtedly superior quality was developed, while remaining within the limits of the tool used.

His main requests were:

1. Larger, black main stone, without the need for particular brilliance;
2. White secondary stone, smaller and brighter, possibly also a natural diamond;
3. Slightly wider band than standard;
4. Band not overly shiny, but with a slightly matte finish;
5. Fluid and dotted engravings along the band, not necessarily identical to the reference image, but inspired by this style;

The engagement and the ring

Dua Lipa and Callum Turner met in 2023 at The River Café in London. She was having dinner with her father, he was with friends. The co-founder of the venue is said to have introduced them.

How did the proposal happen?

On January 29, Dove Cameron was a guest on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to promote the new series “56 Days,” set to be released in February, in which she stars.
